Silicone Breast Implants Make a Comeback
Since silicone breast implants were re-approved in 2006 by the Food and Drug Administration, their use has grown exponentially in breast augmentations. Fox News reports that new statistics from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) show that 72 percent of all breast implants are now silicone. That’s a drastic change from just 19 percent in 2006.
According to Fox News, there have been a lot of changes made to silicone breast implants. The shape and sizing has improved to produce a better contour.
