In today’s cosmetically oriented world, facial fillers, or dermal fillers, are a critical part of maintaining one’s appearance. They provide immediate results with no downtime, and they can often be delivered in less than an hour. At Jeunesse Medical Spa and Samra Plastic Surgery, our use of fillers is delicate, never seeking to make our patients look like different people. Rather, we use fillers to enhance their natural beauty and bring out the very best qualities of their face.
Why facial fillers?
At Jeunesse Medical Spa, we use facial fillers—also called dermal fillers—for two primary purposes: cosmetic enhancement and age management. Here are some before and after examples:
Dermal fillers for cosmetic enhancement is done when a patient wishes to enhance or add to some aspect of their facial appearance. As an example, perhaps a patient has cheekbones he or she feels are lacking in volume. By using the facial filler Juvéderm, our board certified surgeons can create the perfect apples in the cheeks while simultaneously lifting the skin. This not only creates heightened cheekbones, it also smoothes the surrounding skin for a more refreshed appearance.
Facial fillers for age management is more concerned with wrinkles and specific volume loss. As we get older, the collagen in our skin starts to break down. This breakdown contributes to wrinkles, fine lines, hollowed cheeks and sagging jowls. In order to treat these conditions, facial fillers are used to simply restore one’s youthful appearance. Years of training and experience, our surgeons now how volume loss affects each aspect of the face. This gives them the knowledge necessary to apply dermal fillers to restore youth without drastically altering your appearance.
At Jeunesse Medical Spa, we use facial fillers to correct the following cosmetic issues:
- Crow’s feet
- Loss of volume in the cheeks
- Sagging jowls
- Lack of definition in the jawline
- Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
- Thin lips
- Bags under the eyes
- Vertical lines on the upper lip, also known as smoker’s lines
- Fine lines and wrinkles throughout the face
Different facial fillers for different areas
There are many different types of facial fillers, and each one specializes in treating a different parts of the face. They can also behave differently. This means different facial and dermal fillers will produce different results when applied to the same area of the face. Our board certified plastic surgeons have a complete understanding of how each filler interacts with the body, allowing them to apply them in the proper areas. During your initial consultation for dermal fillers our plastic surgeons will go over these different types and ensure you understand exactly what will be done.
