A breast lift repositions the nipple and areola higher on the breast mound. It can be done with or without implants depending on whether or not more volume or fullness of the breast is desired. A breast lift takes approximately an hour and a half under general anesthesia and is also an outpatient procedure. When done in conjunction with implants, the implant is usually placed under the pectoral muscle and can be filled with either saline or silicone.

Liposuction describes a surgery in which unwanted fat is literally sucked out from stab incisions. Liposuction can be done with or without an energy source to treat the fat before removing it.
