BREAST RECONSTRUCTION

Case #11243 – This is a 39-year-old patient who came into our office to discuss her options for breast reconstruction. The patient had no personal history of breast cancer but an extensive family history. Her sister passed away from breast cancer at 32, She is interested in having a mastectomy for prophylactic reasons. The patient states that she is currently a 36D and would ideally like to be smaller in breast size. She recently underwent a gastric sleeve surgery and has lost significant weight since. After discussing her options with one of our five board-certified plastic surgeons, she proceeded with a DIEP flap surgery.
