My father was diagnosed with a Basal Cell Carcinoma on his cheek. We were very concerned as you can imagine but also about the scar that could possibly be on his face! Dr. Fares Samra and his team were excellent, from the beginning of the process to the very end. They were very informative, answering every question along the way and compassionate towards all our concerns. The appointments were so quick, in and out in a timely manner. The work Dr. Fares does speaks for itself, but a week after his surgery my father’s stitches came out, the scar was already healing! The way the incision is on his face contours to his lines and smile, I have no doubt in my mind there will be a less visible scar than what I pictured in my head before the process started, again Dr. Samra’s work is amazing. Dr. Samra’s skill, sincere concern and ability to communicate was exceptional. I had previously discussed problems with two other plastic surgeons. Having had a prior reconstruction (post mastectomy) disfigurement which I lived with for years I thought there was really no solution and was resigned to accept that. I met Dr. Fares Samra during my hospitalization for an acute episode of arterial thrombosis and subsequent fasciotomy of my lower leg. I found him to be a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon who is also warm and sensitive to his patients. He put me at ease from the very beginning of our relationship, took the right amount of time to explain the series of interventions and procedures that I would experience over the coming weeks. My leg incisions are now healing completely and scarring is being evaluated for future modification and reduction.
